An awareness program for expectant mothers and fathers, organized by the Early Childhood Development Officer, was held on August 14, 2026, at the Divisional Secretariat auditorium. Resource contributions for the program were provided by the Early Childhood Development Officer, the Assistant Counseling Officer, the Child Protection Officer, and a local Ayurvedic physician.

Divisional Job Fair

The Seethawaka Divisional Job Fair, jointly organized by the Department of Manpower and Employment and the Seethawaka Divisional Secretariat, was held on 17.07.2026 at the office auditorium under the patronage of the Seethawaka Divisional Secretary. 18 institutions providing employment and vocational training participated in this event. 186 job seekers found jobs here.

Training Program on Tobacco and Alcohol Prevention and Control

The National Authoriry on Tobacco and Alcohol , established under Act. No. 27 of 2006, is carrying out of no. of functions for the prevention and control of tobacco & alcohol. The authority has planned to implement a Training of Trainers (TOT) Program focusing on tobacco & alcohol prevention and control. The program aims to equip field officers with the skills and knowledge required to effectively implement and advocate for tobacco and alcohol prevention initiatives.
